Background
Coralis,
Inc. (Coralis Realty/Coralis Financial Services) was founded with the same
spirit than the hundreds
of small technical
companies that gave a name to Silicon Valley. Vision, innovation, creativity, methodical
execution and dedication to their customers converted many of those companies
in large, very successful companies in their fields. We share the same core values
with those companies and we want to apply them to the Real Estate and Mortgage
industries.
The Real
Estate industry is going through a period of change and adjustment due to new
influencing factors. Some are not necessary new, but are coming of age very
quickly. We can find parallelism in many other industries where those factors
have opened the doors for new companies to succeed.
From our
point of view, the basic factors influencing the transformation are:

technological advances that facilitate to have data at your disposal almost any
place through many new devices, easier
and easier to use,

changes in our way of living. More and
more real estate agents and loan originators are working from their homes with
sporadic visits to their home office mainly to print Marketing materials, to
file paperwork in the broker’s archives and to maintain some human contact.

present real estate market conditions has enhanced the problem and maybe the
solution, because agents and brokers are more sensitive about cost at all
levels: desk fees, E&Os, office charges, commissions splits, etc.
CORALIS’ Model
With those
facts in mind, CORALIS created an operation based on a network consisting of
three fundamental structures : 1) The RE_VOC (Real
Estate Virtual Operation Center) , 2) The RE-VO
(Real Estate Virtual Office) and 3) The Standard Coralis’ Process and Procedures, in order
to provide the next generation solution
to real estate transactions.
1.
The RE-VOC Structure. The RE-VOC (Real Estate Virtual
Operations Center) is a virtual team center created and led by a real estate
agent or broker associate that have multiple agents working for him in their
own RE-VOs. The RE-VOC provides all the services that a traditional broker’s office
provides, with the main difference that most of the services are over the internet
by previously secured third party relationships with services available on
line. The RE_VOC is operated by with a
well documented set of procedures, processes, programs and software tools dedicated
to allow the most efficient transaction closing. The level of personal
interaction is defined by the idiosyncrasies of the team, taking advantage of
the best of both worlds (the old and the new).
The RE_VOC is responsible to provide support for all his RE-VOs Those
responsibilities are similar to those offer by a traditional broker/owner or
team leader today.
2.
The RE-VO (Real Estate Virtual
Office) Structure.
The RE-VO is designed for the single agent or broker associate. It could be operated out of their home base or
anywhere else for that matter. From the hardware point of view, you only need a
computer with internet connection and a few peripherals of your choice. From
the software point of view RE-VO needs to comply with the RE_VOCs process and
procedures to be able to roll all of the transactions for that RE_VOC in a
homogeneous format.

Coralis’
process, procedures, recommendations and created relationships cover and
facilitate the whole gamma of disciplines associated with the daily operation
of the VOCs and VOs. They address Business plan, Marketing plan, Legal support,
Insurance, IT Support, Web integration, Recommended Tools, Software programs, Professional
Training, Customer Service and Quality Standards and all of the other needs
required in a normal business operation. These procedures are created with the
purpose of maintaining compatibility (across RE_VOCs) in the information flow,
financial data roll and the required interfaces to clients, vendors and agents.
